Frequently Asked Questions

1. Do I need to have done yoga before?
Not at all! My classes are very beginner friendly and are open to everyone — from total beginners to seasoned yogis. I’ll guide you through each movement and offer options so you can flow at your own pace.

2. What should I bring to class?
Just yourself and a bottle of water — I provide all the mats, blocks, and blankets you’ll need. If you’d prefer to use your own mat or props, you’re more than welcome to bring them along.

3. What happens in a typical yoga class?
Each class is thoughtfully designed to guide you through meditation, gentle warm-ups, mindful movement, and stretches suited to all levels. You’ll finish with a calming relaxation, helping your body and mind feel refreshed and balanced.

4. What’s sound healing and how does it work?
Sound healing uses vibrations from instruments like crystal singing bowls, chimes, and drums to help the body and mind release tension, rebalance energy, and drop into deep relaxation. It’s like a sonic massage — no movement required!

5. What happens in a sound healing session?
During a sound healing, you’ll usually lie down comfortably while I first guide you into a meditation before I play crystal singing bowls to help deepen your meditation and relaxation before following this with shakers and chimes, before guiding you out of the meditation leaving you feeling relaxed and refreshed. The vibrations help your mind slow down, release tension, and invite a deep sense of calm — it’s a wonderfully meditative and restorative experience.

6. I’ve never tried meditation or breathwork before. Is that okay?
Absolutely! I’ll guide you gently through each practice, so you don’t need any experience. Even a few minutes of mindful breathing can make a noticeable difference to how you feel.

7. Can I book a private session?
Absolutely! I offer private yoga and sound healing sessions tailored to your needs — whether you’re after one-to-one guidance, deep relaxation, or a bespoke experience for a small group.

8. Do you offer corporate wellbeing sessions?
Yes! I bring yoga, meditation, and sound healing into workplaces to help teams de-stress, refocus, and recharge. Perfect for team-building days, wellness weeks, or lunchtime resets. Get in touch for more details.

9. Where are you based?
I’m based in the beautiful town of Stamford, Lincolnshire — but I also host retreats and can travel for special events or corporate sessions.

10. What can I expect from a retreat?
Think of it as a chance to completely reset — with nourishing movement, guided meditation, sound baths, wholesome food, and a sprinkle of soulful connection. Each retreat has its own unique theme.

11. What should I wear?
Comfy, stretchy clothes you can move (or relax!) in. Layers are always a good idea — especially for sound baths, when your body temperature can drop as you unwind.

12. How long are the classes and sessions?
Yoga classes and sound healing sessions are typically 60 minutes. Private sessions and retreats can be tailored to your schedule and needs.

13. Do I need to be flexible to do yoga?
Not at all! Yoga isn’t about touching your toes; it’s about moving mindfully and listening to your body. Flexibility comes naturally over time.

14. Will I feel awkward in a group class?
Not in the slightest. My classes are welcoming, inclusive, and judgement-free. Everyone is in a semi circle facing me in the studio so no one is looking at anyone else bar myself. There is no one behind or infront to distract or compare. Everyone moves at their own pace, and most participants are just focusing on their own practice.

15. What if I fall asleep during sound healing?
That’s actually a very good sign! It means your body and mind are deeply relaxed and recharging. You’ll wake up feeling refreshed, even if you snoozed a little.
